Jackye
opened Enchanted Gardens in 1998 because she saw a need for a small,
intimate gardening center specializing in desert plants.
Jackye
is a gardener herself. Her xeriscape garden features an oasis of perennials,
trees, blooming shrubs, and a native plant area. She also maintains a
formal, raised-bed vegetable garden.
Jackye
writes a weekly gardening column for Las Cruces Sun News and has a monthly
commentary on KRWG-FM radio.
Jackye
is a member of the Native Plant Society and serves on the Las Cruces Garden
Tour committee.
Jackye
shares her gardening expertise with local garden clubs and other interested
organizations.
Jackye
has a Ph.D. in Professional Communication.
Jackye
share a home in Las Cruces with Bob Hull and her many cats. She spends her
free time gardening, reading, napping, and playing with her cats.
